Delivers superior polyurethane durability with the convenience of a water-based finish. It is formulated to withstand heavy foot traffic. Imparts floors with depth and warmth, enhancing a floor's natural wood grain. Great for all hardwood interior floors, no sanding between coats. Fast drying formula allows recoat in 2 to 3 hours. Low odor of the water-based poly and it's easy clean up with soap and warm water completes the topcoating in 1 day. Water-based polyurethane can be used to recoat a floor that was previously finished with an oil-based poly as long as the floor is prepared following the label directions. The water-based poly can be applied over oil-based Minwax stains. It is not recommended to use water-based stains on floors because they dry quickly making them difficult to apply evenly on large surface areas. 3 coats of water-based polyurethane are recommended for heavy traffic areas. Water-based polyurethane base coat must be applied on unstained wood floors prior to applying the water-based polyurethane for floors to avoid tannin discoloration in natural wood. Covers approximately 400 to 500 sq. ft. per gallon. Size: Gallon.
